Welcome to Woodpeckers!
This is a very exciting year for the children in our class as they move into Key Stage Two, where they have the opportunity to learn French and get involved with creative learning on our ‘French Day’.
Throughout the year, there will be multiple opportunities for active learning, as we commence our ‘Romans’ topic during the Autumn Term and later move onto our ‘Going Green’ topic in the New Year. The children will enjoy having the option to dress up as Romans on ‘Roman Day’, as they investigate how the Romans lived and how they have shaped our lives today.
Take a look at our Topic Overviews to find out more! By the end of the year, the children will have developed greater independence and responsibility, as we instill a love for learning and look towards our future aspirations.
